La plataforma Connecting Vets, una comunidad de militares veteranos de los EEUU, ha filtrado un vídeo en el que aparece como un dron mata a civiles en Afganistán.
Los hechos se produjeron en el año 2019, bajo el mandato de Donald Trump.
Connecting Vets entrevistó a varios operadores, abogados militares y controladores de ataque terminal conjunto de la Fuerza Aérea de EE.UU. con motivo de una investigación y reveló esta práctica de los efectivos del ejército.
«Los ataques con drones eran punitivos. Matar por matar», afirmó uno de los operadores de drones.
Otro piloto relató que mató por error a dos personas y un niño por coincidir en la misma ubicación que un objetivo.
